Lake Tahoe Real Estate- Tahoe Expecting a Demographic Change Members of the Incline Village/ Crystal Bay community come together every Tuesday to discuss the topics of the day at the Bonanza meetings. One recent topic reported is the documented shift in Incline Village's town of residents to a town of second home owners. Many beleive the town will be very different in ten years. It is now time for the older generation to cede leadership of the community to the next generation and pass the torch. The community is blessed with a very active senior community but it is not to say that the next generation has not begun their efforts already. Jeni Cross refocused the Washoe School District's attention away from closing the middle school and toward solutions designed to reverse declining enrollment. Elizabeth Sedway established very successful relationships with AmeriCorps. Mark Rancourt is credited for the first single stream recycling program in the entire state of Nevada. Lauren Meyer has worked with parents to teach children who aspire to take leadership rolesin their own generation to come. Alothough the town is is experiencing this shift in demographics, leaders like these paint a bright future for Incline Village and Lake Tahoe. Add Comment Post my comment
